Beadles wins incredibly tight Pro Late Models point fund battle to take top prize
MACON, Ill. – The points battle was incredibly close, just like the amazing racing during two nights of Pro Late Model features, and Matt Beadles snuck past Guy Taylor to win the two-day points fund championship at Lincoln Speedway Friday and Macon Speedway Saturday.
Beadles, of Clinton, took home an extra $400 with 102 points over the two-day run. Taylor, of Springfield, grabbed second place after compiling 100 points, including a victory at Macon Speedway Saturday. The points battle didn’t end there.
Jeremy McLaughlin, of Danforth, finished in a three-way tie for third with Tommy Sheppard Jr., of New Berlin, and Kevin Crowder, of Argenta.
Brandon Eskew tied Logan Moody, of Catlin, for sixth place.
With such tight racing on the track plus a great points fight during the two days, fans are already excited about the plans for adding Pro Late Models to the Macon Speedway weekly lineup for 2015. Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway would also like to say thanks to all the drivers who competed at the two tracks over the weekend.
