Beiler takes narrow lead into key Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks weekend
MACON, Ill. – Heading into a busy weekend, Bobby Beiler of Blue Mound holds the Big Ten Series Street Stocks lead with 390 points, but he doesn’t have much of a cushion as the division holds races at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway on Friday before another Big Ten event at Macon Speedway Saturday.
Terry Reed of Decatur is second with 382 points and Kyle Waters of Oreana is third with 328. Another sharp battle for fourth shows Thomas Riech of Springfield with 294 points, ahead of Gene Reed of Blue Mound with 284.
The Big Ten Series Street Stocks are part of an amazing program at Macon Speedway Saturday. The Billingsley Towing Modifieds race the Shrine 50 in a 50-lapper. The Outlaw Hornets and Stock Hornets also race.
Following racing, the Chuck Foley Memorial Demolition Derby provides rock ‘em sock ‘em action for all ages. It’s the first demo derby at legendary Macon Speedway in nearly 15 years.
After this weekend, the series concludes on Aug. 30 during the Illinois Street Stocks Championships and Big Ten Street Stocks finale at Macon Speedway.
