Getting ready for Taylorville Night and Woody's in Bud Light Ladies Night race Saturday
MACON, Ill. – It’s time to get Macon Speedway back up to speed, and we’re working hard to get ready for Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Night Saturday featuring racing in seven classes. The program also includes another round with Bud Light Ladies Night presented by Y103. The gals from Woody’s will be racing in four-cylinder Hornets while attempting to qualify for the Bud Light Ladies Night championship on Sept. 13.
Check back on Maconracing.com early Saturday afternoon for updates on weather and track conditions. While you’re waiting, head over to Miles Chevrolet on Pershing Road in Decatur to check out the Central Illinois SuperChevy.Stores.com 100 promotion at the dealership. There’s a real ARCA stock car, the Illinois State Fair pace car and the Macon Speedway two-seater.
Macon Speedway is excited about the program. Beach House Mini-Sprints face a key doubleheader before a busy weekend on Aug. 15-16, and B-Mods return to the track for the first time this month as a division continues to grow.
After the Beach House Mini-Sprints run at Macon Speedway Saturday, they might also go to BelleClaire Speedway Sunday Belleville (Ill.) Sunday. Then the drivers also face back-to-back races against POWRi competition on Aug. 15 at Lincoln (ill.) Speedway and Aug. 16 at Macon Speedway. The program at Macon Speedway on Aug. 16 includes double features in both POWRi classes.
During Taylorville Night and Bud Light Ladies Night at Macon Speedway Saturday, all ladies are admitted for half price – only $6 – and the gals from Woody’s will compete in a five-lap celebrity race with the top two finishers qualifying for the Bud Light Night Championship race on Sept. 13. Be on the lookout for Bud Light merchandise. CEFCU Kid’s Club will also take a ride on the Macon Speedway high banks in a school bus and get a look at the famous track from the other side of the fence.
Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Sportsman, Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets, Beach House Mini-Sprints and B-Mods race at Macon Speedway Saturday night. Gates open at 5. Racing at 7.
