Woody's ready to floor it Saturday for Bud Light Ladies Night presented by Y103

Woody's race team is Kat Fayhey, Lillian Barry, Bri Livingston and Laural Phipps. Missing from the photo but ready to roll is Gretchen Schrishuhn.

MACON, Ill. – They were rained out on their first trip to Macon Speedway, so the ladies from Woody’s are ready to mash the gas and go for the checkered flag during Bud Light ladies Night presented by Y103 at Macon Speedway Saturday. The night also features half-price admission for all ladies, race buckets filled with Bud products and Macon Speedway’s search for the fastest women in town.

Lillian Barry, Gretchen Schrishuhn, Shyler Burton, Brianna Livingston, and Laural Phipps from Woody’s, 1190 W. Southside Drive, Decatur, will compete in four-cylinder Hornets during a five-lap shootout with the top two finishers advancing to the Bud Light Championship race on Sept. 13. The qualifiers will join Jenny Kramer and Dana Damery from Rocco’s and Dawn Reynolds and Holly Vinson from Starship Billiards in the championship rumble later this season. Pop’s Place (Aug. 9) will also qualify on Aug. 30. The action was furious in the first Bud Light Ladies Night race, as the ladies from Rocco’s shrugged off the checkered flag and kept racing, and Reynolds charged from fourth to first for the win. And that’s not to mention all the hot women ready to drop the green flag on another night of action at Macon Speedway.

Check out the race buckets. For just $20, you get a souvenir bucket, five cold cans of any Bud Light or Bud plus the ice to keep it all cold during that hot racing on the track. Now, that’s a party to make it great summer night in the Macon Speedway grandstands. Look for giveaways from Budweiser. There’s some really cool merchandise, from sunglasses to T-shirts, coozies and party beads.

And there’s so much more to the racing than the Woody’s girls heading around the track. Macon Speedway will run seven classes with Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Sportsman, Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets, Beach House Mini-Sprints and B-Mods also racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. Racing starts at 7. Tickets are only $12 for general admission.

Woody’s is a great choice for one last stop for fans and race teams after the action is done at Macon Speedway, because there’s always plenty of trailer parking. Woody’s is an easy drive from Macon Speedway and located on Decatur’s southwest side.

It’s also Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Night at Macon Speedway. CEFCU Kid's Club gets some special treatment with the kids taking some laps in a school bus on the Macon Speedway track. So make sure all the kids make it to the track and are ready to hit the high banks.

Macon Speedway is located nine miles south of Decatur on U.S. 51, then 0.6 miles west on Andrews Street, then south to 205 N. Wiles.
