DynaGraphics, ILMO present MOWA Sprints to cap busy week
MACON, Ill. – DynaGraphics and ILMO present the MOWA Sprints at Macon Speedway Saturday to cap a busy week of racing, thanks to the legendary fifth-mile dirt oval and Track Enterprises. Race fans also have plenty of action with the Larry’s Service Center Triple 25’s at the Christian County Fair in Taylorville on Thursday and the Kyle Busch Experience during the ARCA doubleheader at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis Friday.
The only appearance by MOWA and sprint cars this season has the open wheel crowd ready to watch the winged sprints scream around the fifth-mile high banked track at legendary Macon Speedway Saturday. The best winged sprint car drivers in the Midwest will try to tame the Macon bullring as the Midwest Open Wheel Association holds MOWA Sprint Week. Macon Speedway is the fourth and final stop in the four-day run. MOWA Sprint Week begins at Highland (Ill.) Speedway on July 23, followed by Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach on July 24 and Jacksonville Speedway on July 25. Heading into a busy July race season, Jerrod Hull of Sikeston, Mo., led the MOWA standings, followed closely by Joey Moughan of Springfield, A.J. Bruns of Lincoln, Chris Urish of Elkhart, Jeremy Standridge of Springfield and Korey Weyant of Springfield.
The racing isn’t the only attraction. DynaGraphics will hold a drawing for a voucher worth $500 toward any product in its line, including a vehicle wrap, and ILMO will hand out gift certificates to the first 1,000 fans who buy a ticket good for a free pair of OSHA approved sunglasses. There’s plenty of action on the track MOWA sprint cars, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, street stocks, outlaw hornets, stock hornets and the Illinois Lightning Sprint Series. After the night of racing at Christian County Fair, the sportsman will have the weekend off.
A Decatur-based company, DynaGraphics specializes in signs, printing and wraps, and it will show off its products, from wraps on boats and trucks to signs. DynaGraphics, 3220 N. Woodford St., Decatur, can turn your vehicle into a rolling billboard or any kind of work of art.

The busy week begins with the Larry’s Service Center Triple 25’s, bringing stock car racing back to Taylorville for the first time in decades. On Thursday, the fair holds racing on the quarter-mile dirt track in three classes with big payouts.
The sportsman division races for $800 to win in a big event for the class. Drivers have been excited about this race since it was announced earlier this summer. Big Ten street stocks race for $500 to win as the series hits its fourth different track of the summer season. Hornets go after a whopping $200 to win. All three features are 25 lappers. With these payouts, a huge car count is expected. Drivers are anxious to race at a different track, and the Thursday program will likely bring cars from many different tracks. Get your motor running!!
On Friday, the Scott Get Geared up 200 features the Kyle Busch VIP Experience at the ARCA short-track doubleheader at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The night includes a 200-lap ARCA race and a 100-lap CRA Super Series race, when Busch joins the field. NASCAR stars Ken Schrader will compete in the ARCA race while David Ragan battles in the CRA Super Series event. Before his race, meet Kyle in the Kyle Busch VIP Experience. A limited number of tickets are available for the private party. Fans will enjoy a chance to meet Busch, get autographs and pictures and participate in a Q&A session. Dinner, VIP parking and a ticket to the ARCA doubleheader at Lucas Oil Raceway also come with the Kyle Busch VIP Experience. All of this for just $100.
