(Kansas City, Kansas) The Third Annual Karl Tinsley Memorial headlines ‘Racing on the River’s Edge’ at Lakeside Speedway on Friday during the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Classes competing include A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, and Grand Nationals.

The featured class of the night is Pure Stocks, who will race in honor of Karl Tinsley, who passed away in 2017. Tinsley worked as a mechanic for 47 years at Anderson Racing, Inc. in Grandview, Missouri. There is no entry fee for Pure Stock drivers other than their pit pass. If 20 or more Pure Stocks sign in, Lakeside Speedway will add additional purse money.

The complete payout for the Pure Stocks is 1st $750, 2nd $450, 3rd $300, 4th $260, 5th $240, 6th $220, 7th $200, 8th $180, 9th $180, 10th $180, 11th $160, 12th $160, 13th $160, 14th $140, 15th $140, 16th $140, 17th to 24th $120. Tow money is $50.

On Friday, Pits Open 5PM, Grandstands Open 6PM, Driver Pill Draw Closes 6:45PM, Pit Meeting 7PM, Hot Laps 7:15PM and Racing begins at 7:45PM (or immediately following hot laps). Ticketing and admission information follows: General Admission: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors/Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. Suites: Adults (13+) $20, Kids (2-12) $10, Under 2 FREE. Terrace: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors/Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. For Suite and Terrace availability call (913) 299-9206. Pit Passes: 7 and Older $35, Under 7 years $15. Minors 17 and under must have signed Minor Release to enter the pits.

This week also features Saturday action with the Kansas City Off Road Racing Association (KCORRA). Classes include Youth 170 Stock, Youth 170 Modified, Youth 570, Youth 1000, Sportsman. Pro Turbo. Pro NA. Women’s and Mini-Stock Trucks. Single-day license available for $25, Season License for $50. KCORRA fees are $85 for Turbo and NA, $60 for Sportsman, and $40 for youth. Track Admission fees are: $10 for 16 years and up, $5 for 12 to 15 years old, 11 years and under are free. Gates open at 9 a.m., followed by registration from 10 to Noon, Driver’s Meeting at 12:30 with practice and racing to follow. Visit www.kcorra.com or kcorr@usa.com for additional information.
