(Kansas City, Kansas) Friday at Lakeside Speedway features Autism Awareness night along with the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. The program features a full night of racing with A-Mods, B-Mods, Stock Cars, Pure Stocks, E-Mods, and Grand Nationals. Bonus money is on the line for A, B, and E-Mods.
This weekend’s partners for Autism Awareness Night at the Races are Children’s Mercy Kansas City, QT QuikTrip, Corner Café, Speedway Motors, Dodd Motorsports, and Happy Signs. Lakeside Speedway will donate $1 from every ticket sold to Autism Research at Children's Mercy. In addition, a special 50/50 drawing will take place with half the proceeds also going to Children’s Mercy.
Point’s leaders heading into Friday’s program include Nic Bidinger, Randal Schiffelbein Jr., and Tim Karrick in A-Mods. Terry Schultz, Mark Schafman, and Luke Nieman in B-Mods. Don Marrs, Marshall Jewett, and Spencer Reiff in Pure Stocks. Kacey Shields, Dennie Belknap, and Chad Walker in Stock Cars. Darren Kling, Jason Park, and Kenny Howard in Grand Nationals, and Trevor Hand, Dennis Melvin, and Dakota Jennings in E-Mods.
On Friday, Pits Open 5PM, Grandstands Open 6PM, Driver Pill Draw Closes 6:45PM, Pit Meeting 7PM, Hot Laps 7:15PM and Racing begins at 7:45PM (or immediately following hot laps). Ticketing and admission information follows: General Admission: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors/Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. Suites: Adults (13+) $20, Kids (2-12) $10, Under 2 FREE. Terrace: Adults (16+) $15, Seniors/Military $12, Juniors (12-15) $5, Under 12 FREE. For Suite and Terrace availability call (913) 299-9206. Pit Passes: 7 and Older $35 • Under 7 years $15. Minors 17 and under must have signed Minor Release to enter the pits.
For those unable to make it in person, you may watch the event live via pay-per-view by pointing your web browser to www.lakesideSpeedway.TV. Once on the website, in the top left area of the page next to the Lakeside Speedway logo, click on “Upcoming Live” and from there select the event from the menu that appears and follow the payment prompts and questions. The fee is $19.99.
