Lebanon, Oregon- After taking a week off from the 1/3-mile track Willamette Speedway is excited to shred some clay on Saturday, September 16th, for Protect The Crop/Thank A Farmer Night. With just a handful of races left on the calendar the points battles are starting to intensify. The evening will feature all six staple classes and is expected to have a very full pit area. Divisions in competition include the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Collen Winebarger will look to try to pad his lead by picking up some crucial points that are currently on the table in the Super Late Models. Winebarger has six wins over the rest of the class with Bricen James managing to be triumphant on two occasions. Darren Coffell, Jeremy Shank, and Joey Tanner have parked it in victory lane once.

The IMCA Modifieds will see a shake up in points after the weekend. Current standings leader Bricen James was recently injured and will be out for the rest of the year. With points only going to the driver, unlike the rest of Willamette Speedway divisions, he will be overtaken. James lead in win totals, at four, while John Campos and Dustin Cady each have gotten two. Collen Winebarger, Brian Thompson, Grey Ferrando, Jesse Williamson, Ethan Dotson, and Wade Taylor all have managed to win once at Willamette in 2017.

Dan Deibele has been quite the dominating force in the Super Sport ranks. The Deibele camp has scored an amazing wins against the competition. The only driver with more than one victory to their name is Chris Mott, with two. Single race winners are Jordan Wright, Clay Debban, and Gil Pickett.

James Slover has a little bit of breathing room in the points table against Ryan Emry. Slover has four wins to the team's name while Ryan Emry recently had an incredible spree of wins parking it in victory lane six times. Jeff Rash, Jeff Titus, and Sandy Sanders are three drivers with just one win.

In the Street Stocks, Jody Tanner is trying to hold on to his point lead over current runner-up Kevin Roberts. Brian Cronk and Kyle Yeack both have three wins apiece, with the list of two-time winners including Kevin Roberts, David Cronk, and Andrew Langan. Jody Tanner and Justin Evans both have one victory each.

Last but not least are the Hornets. Tracy Muse is in firm command of both the point lead as well as the most wins. Muse has achieved eight trips to the winner's circle and is the only multi-feature winner. Crystal Flath, John Gartner, T.J. Wegner, and Sam Potter all have one win to their credit.

Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30, and Racing at 6:00. Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Junior/Military/Senior $10.00, Youth (6-12) $5.00, 5 and Under FREE, and a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) $35.00. For more information log on to www.trophymotorsports.com.
