While the IMCA Sport Mods have raced at Willamette in the past it was only on a special event basis but now they will be competing for a track championship for the very first time in addition to state, regional, and national points. The IMCA Stock Car division will be absolutely new and will feature top of the line Stock Cars that is sure to bring even more high quality racing weekly racing that already exists.
“This is a great move for these two classes,” said Willamette Speedway owner/operator, Jerry Schram, “the Sport Mods are growing so fast in this area and we’re happy to give them a chance to race here on a regular basis. I’m very excited to see where the Stock Car class is going to go because I think it has a lot of potential to be a good deal and put on some great racing.”
