Collen Winebarger Wins Late Model Race On Outlaw Night

Lebanon, Oregon- In addition to the World Of Outlaw Sprint Series racing at Willamette Speedway on Wednesday, September 6th. so were the Super Late Models. It was the first time since 2014 that the division had been utilized as a support class. Twenty entries would be in attendance representing the states of Oregon and Washington.
Rob Campos, from Scio, would grab the initial lead in the main event when the green flag would drop. Shortly after a lap two restart Collen Winebarger would motor his way around Campos to obtain the position.
Winebarger would hold on the rest of the way despite several restarts due to cautions. It would be Winebarger's sixth win of 2017 and gives him a boast for the incredible race for the championship.
Joey Tanner, out of Portland, would be second followed by Lebanon's Casey Vitale, in third. The rest of the top five would be made up of Jimmy Whisler, from the coast town of Otis, in fourth and fifth finishing Tangent veteran Trevor Glaser, running for car owner Darren Coffell.
Rob Campos would set fast time of the night while Casey Vitale would win the trophy dash. Heat race winners were Lebanon native Dan Deibele, Trevor Glaser, and Joey Tanner.
Willamette Speedway will be hosting two special dates for Kart racing this Saturday and Sunday. Hot laps will start at 6:15 PM on Saturday while Sunday hot laps begin at 10:00 AM.
