Lebanon, Oregon- With the 360 Sprints on tap for their annual stop for Speedweek Northwest the Super Sports would play the role as the support class on Wednesday, July 12th. A total of ten cars would show up for the event including many of the front runners of the 2017 season.
Defending track champion Randy Barley would get the lead on the opening lap. Barley, of Albany, stayed out in front until he was passed on the twelfth circuit by Salem’s B.J. Donofrio. Donofrio would hold on to the position for a couple of laps as Dan Deibele made it past him on lap fourteen.
Dan Deibele would pace the field the rest of the distance. It would mark the fourth occasion that the Lebanon-based team has won a race at Willamette Speedway in 2017. Salem’s Doug Elkins placed second over B.J. Donofrio, in third. The rest of the top five would be made up of Randy Barley, getting fourth, and fifth finishing Brian Winkler, of Newberg.
