Kerry Madsen Leading Big Game Motorsports Into World of Outlaws Event at Lake Ozark Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – PEVELY, Mo. (May 26, 2020) – Big Game Motorsports is venturing to Lake Ozark Speedway this weekend for a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader.

Kerry Madsen has guided the Killer Instinct Crossbows sponsored team to a top-10 finish during a World of Outlaws event at the oval in Eldon, Mo., each of the last two years.

“It can go pretty slick quickly,” he said. “You have to be on top of your game. I want to get this car up front where it should be.”

Madsen placed 10th last year after garnering a third-place result in 2018 during the two most recent World of Outlaws races at the facility.

The team is coming off a frustrating weekend with the Outlaws at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

“On Friday the track was pretty heavy and we had to run the B Main,” Madsen said. “We were leading with half a lap to go when the motor dropped a rod.”

Madsen had qualified ninth quickest in his group, placed sixth in a heat race and was on pace to win the Last Chance Showdown to transfer into the main event with the misfortune struck.

The team returned to the high-banked oval on Saturday.

“It was a really crazy deal,” Madsen said. “We drew late in the first group and the track had slowed down over a second. We were just in the worst possible spot. I tried something and it didn’t work. We were pretty much down in the dungeon after that point.”

Madsen timed in 25th quickest in his group. He advanced from fifth to fourth place in a non-qualifier race and from 11th to fifth in the C Main to end the night.

May 23 – Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. – Qualifying: 25; Non-qualifier race: 4 (5); C Main: 5 (11).
