Late Models headline Saturday's racing at I-90 Speedway
With only two races left on the 2019 schedule, the NEED FOR SPEED is as high as the drama at I-90 Speedway.
There are points championships hanging in the balance in all of our Paramount Racing Series classes and the Wyffel’s Hybrids Tri-State Late Models Series, with IBEW Local 426 providing all the action.
IBEW Local 426 is the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers which is based in Sioux Falls. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is a union of 725,000 members, making them the largest organization of electrical workers in North America.
Their members work in nearly every part of the economy: construction, utilities, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroad and government. IBEW members can be found on the job at construction sites, power plants, factories, offices, shipyards, TV studios and rail yards. Saturday night marks night number three of "The Wyffels Hybrids Harvest Series." For the final two races, each of the four classes in our Paramount Racing Series will receive South Dakota Lottery scratch off tickets. Winners of each feature will receive $100 worth of tickets, while runner-up drivers will receive $50 in tickets and third place finishers will receive $25 in tickets. Drivers in the Racesaver Sprint Cars, Late Model Street Stocks, USRA B-mods and USRA Hobby Stocks are eligible for these prizes.
This week, the Wyffel’s Hybrids Tri-State Late Model Series will join the T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stocks, the Great Western Bank USRA B-mods and the Lawn and Snow Company USRA Hobby Stocks. Then next week, the historic 2019 season will conclude with the Paramount Racing Series Season Championship night on Saturday, September 7th.
Pit gates open at 4pm, grandstand gates open at 5pm, hot laps will begin at 6:30pm with racing to follow. Tickets for this Saturday’s event are only $15 for adults, teenagers 13-17 are only $10 and kids 12 and under are ALWAYS FREE with a paid adult.
