I-90 Speedway sets date for 2019 celebration as season closes
Hello fans,
Many of you have been asking, and you have been very patient with us, since the rain outs of the last two weeks of the 2019 campaign. Here is an update on the status of the season, the date and location of the post-season banquet and what will happen with the drawing of the Bleacher Backer 4-wheeler giveaway.
First, the season. I am saddened to inform you that our season is officially over. We have attempted to come up with a date for our Season Championship that would be feasible for our track as a business, our drivers and our fans. With all the special events throughout the region, school related activities and the inability to secure enough support staff that would be able to help us provide the best experience for our drivers and fans, we were forced to make this decision. We were really looking forward to a great night to cap off our historic season, but we just could not make it work.
With that in mind, we would like to take time to congratulate our points champions. In the Justice Fire and Safety Racesaver Sprint Cars, Jesse Lindberg, in the T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stocks, Craig Hanisch, the Great Western Bank of Hartford B-Mods, Brock Hess and the Lawn and Snow Company Hobby Stocks, Dustin Gulbrandson. We would also like to thank the 141 different drivers that supported our track at one point or another during our Paramount Racing Series events, not to mention the numerous drivers that joined us for the Property Solutions of America MSTS 360 Sprint Cars and the Tri-State Late Model Series. Without all of these drivers, all of our fans and all of our advertisers, this dream could not have been able to come true.
The date and location of the 2019 I-90 Speedway Post-Season Banquet is set. We will hold the festivities at Royal River Casino in Flandreau on Saturday, November 9th. We are proud to partner with such a great venue and we really are excited to hold this event there. We will have further details on times, purchasing of tickets and Royal River Casino and Hotel "Stay and Play" packages that are available on a limited basis. Keep watching our Facebook page and our website for details coming soon.
Lastly, since we will not be able to hold a final race, we will be holding the drawing for the Bleacher Backer 4-wheeler on location in the coming weeks, as we are in the process of securing a venue and date for this event. The drawing is just days away and you will have a "FINAL" final chance to purchase your spot and the opportunity to win that Kawasaki Mule 4-wheeler, valued at nearly $13,000 that evening. On behalf of all of us at I-90 Speedway, we can not thank you enough for the support this season. This was a difficult, but very gratifying experience. We certainly had our ups and downs with Mother Nature, as we all did in some way, shape or form, but knowing that racing is back in the Sioux Falls area made it all worthwhile.
