Jake Peters enters Saturday’s LMSS Legends Race

He’ll forever be remembered as one of America’s greatest sprint car drivers, but before taking to wings, Jake Peters raced Late Model Street Stocks. Saturday, he’ll return to those roots in the Late Model Street Stock Legends Race at I-90 Speedway.

In his career, Peters raced to seven 360 sprint car victories at I-90 Speedway. He was a three time sprint car champion at Huset’s Speedway – 1995 in the 360 division and 1997 and 2006 in the outlaw sprint cars. He also totaled 2 street stock wins, 11 360 sprint wins and 15 410 sprint car wins at Huset’s – where he has been inducted into the track’s hall of fame.

Peters is also a 2019 inductee into the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame. “The Snake” claimed championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006 at the Marion County Iowa half-mile.

Craig Hanisch will supply the car for Peters. Hanisch claimed his 50th career win at I-90 Speedway this past Saturday.

The Late Model Street Stock Legends Race is made possible by Sea Foam, Howe Plumbing & Heating and Precision Drywall.
