Hudson Speedway ends the 2024 Race Season with a Successful Pumpkinfest

Recap of the October 27th Event

Hudson, NH- A beautiful fun filled day of racing action took place this past Sunday at Hudson Speedway with a packed pit area and in front of a large crowd. The fans were treated to a little bit of all types of racing as the ProTruck Challenge Series and the R&R Open Street Stocks came to town. Also the annual Hudson Hugger run what ya brung and the first Hudson Hippo Hustle took place before the day was wrapped up with enduros and a flag pole race.

The Pro Trucks ran two 35 lap features with Nikolas Frachette in the 11RI taking feature #1 and Randy Burr in the #32 winning the 2nd feature. Nikolas Frachette would go on to win the series championship! For full finishes check them out online at evolveprotruckchallenge.com.

The R&R Open Street Stocks came to town with 28 cars looking to go 49 laps in the Carl Tirone Memorial sponsored by Original Wheelman. Geoff Rollins in the 02 would lead the entire race to collect the win but he was never out of striking distance as various drivers applied pressure for the lead throughout the race and numerous restarts. As the dust settled Justin Beecher in the 57 finished 2nd followed by Adam Gray in the 97 in 3rd! Jeff Alley in car #24 came home 4th and William Clement Jr. brought his #33 home 5th.

The 50 lap Hudson Hugger Run What Ya Brung saw 16 cars take the green. Lee USA Speedway Pro Stock regular Frankie Eldridge ran away with the show as he took the lead on lap 15 of the event that went green to checker to capture the win. Cole Littlewood drove his sportsman modified to a strong second place finish. Charles Baldwin in the #2 street stock that had some wider than normal tires on it rounded out the top 3!

The Hudson Hippo Hustle was an overwhelming success with nearly 30 mini vans and SUV’s in attendance. At the end of the day it was the team of Alby Ovitt and Bob Williams that won both features thus taking the overall win!

Fans were treated to two enduro races. The 4 cylinders went 50 laps and would see Jon Demanche Jr. take the win. In the 6/8 cylinder enduro Steve Clark would just beat out Jim York for the win. The flag pole race was won by Jim York!

That will put a wrap on the 2024 Hudson Speedway race season. We thank all the competitors, crew members, fans and staff members that made it a memorable season and we hope to see you all in 2025!
