Greenbush Race Park wraps up the 2018 race season

The 2018 racing season wrapped up Sunday Sept. 2 at the Greenbush Race Park. It was another beautiful evening and the car count topped the 100 mark for the second night in a row.

Michael Greseth grabbed the lead on lap 13 of the Modified feature, and survived a green, white, checkered finish to get his second win in as many nights. Once again Ward Imrie finished a close second and Mark Esala third. Heat wins went to Greseth, Imrie, and Dustin Wahl. Ryan Kereluk finished on top in points followed by Rick Delaine, and Dustin Wahl.

Austin Hunter picked up the Midwest Modified feature leading flag to flag. Nate Reynolds finished second and Haley Lee third. Heat wins went to Hunter, Doyle Erickson, and Logan Salazar. The top three in points were Salazar, Aaron Blacklance, and Shane Wahl.

Eric Riley led the last four laps of the Street feature to get his second win of the year. Ryan Johnson finished second and Kyle Dykhoff third. Johnson and Jeremy Gust picked up the heat wins. The top three in points were John Halvorson, Gust, and Chase Boen.

Alex Truscinski lead wire to wire to get his sixth win of the year in the Lightning Sprints. Kelsi Pederson finished second and Zac Kwiatkoski third. The top three in points were Alex Truscinski, Alan Truscinski, and Pederson.

Larry Niebel made his first visit of the year to the Race Park payoff as he picked up the win in the Pure Stock feature. A.J. Lane finished second and Gary Feeleus was third. Heat wins went to Austin Brekkestran, Jared Palm, and John Duray. The top three in points were Lane, Palm, and Chad Hagen.

The 4 Cylinder feature win went to Brandon Rehill, Cory Nelson finished second and Shannon George third. John Current and Connor Drewry picked up the heat wins. The top three in points were Current, Joel Olson, and George.

The top three in points in each class were awarded plaques at the end of the evening. Promoter Jaime Sovde wanted to say THANK YOU to all the racers, fans, sponsors, staff, and everyone that helped with this year’s race program, and hope to see everyone back at the Greenbush Race Park in 2019.
