Five Flags Speedway
Let the Fun Begin!!
With the release of the 2016 racing schedule, 5 Flags Speedway adds new meaning to the diversity program with a little something for everyone. It all starts with the 2nd Annual Sweat Hogg Grand Prix on January 23rd , and culminates on Sunday, December 4th with the 49th running of the Snowball Derby.
In between, a variety of activities will keep 7451 Pine Forest Road as an action spot on the Pensacola area entertainment calendar. Opening night for the regular race season will be Friday, March 25th, when the Speedway will host the first of two $5 admission nights, and showcase the Pro Truck Division, along with Sportsman and Bombers. The very next Friday, April Fool’s Day will open the “King of the Wing Southern Swing�, as the world’s fastest short track cars return to 5 Flags Speedway for their once a year Winged Sprint Car showdown. The Modified of Mayhem Tour will also be on tap April 1st.
The remainder of the season will highlight the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series for 4 events, 4 events for the popular Allen Turner Series Pro Late Models, 3 more dates for the mighty Mods, alternating events for the Pro Trucks and Super Stocks, and of course all events will include Sportsman and Bomber action.
Mix in a few special events, like a Demolition Derby, Kid’s Bike Races, Vintage cars, Drifting events and no telling what else, and you see what we mean by variety. And as mentioned, it all leads towards the first weekend of December when the Nation’s motorsports eyes will be focused on 5 Flags Speedway for one of America’s Premier Short Track events, The Snowball Derby. 2016 promises to be all out, wide open, and loads of fun.
