5 Dollar Racing Season Kick Off at 5 Flags Speedway
Saturday, January 23, 2016 will serve up a fun way to kick off the 2016 Racing Season at 5 Flags Speedway. The growingly popular Racer’s Swap Meet will kick things off in the Speedway Parking Lot, with registration beginning at 7:30am. For a fee of just $25, Racers will be provided a space in which to display and sell their unwanted or unneeded racing parts and supplies. Anything and everything to build a race car has been seen at previous swap meets, including turn key cars, trailers, and even tools. It’s a great way for racers to turn used items into much needed cash as the 2016 season approaches. The Swap Meet will be in fast motion this year, as it concludes at 11am. Admission is FREE for potential buyers at the Swap Meet.
At 11am everything shifts trackside, with Grandstand gates opening to the Sweat Hogg Grand Prix Ver. 2.0 and Super Moto Races. With admission just $5, (kids 5 & under are FREE) fans will be treated to some serious and hilarious racing action. New this year, are 2 Qualifying Heats for the Sweat Hogg Grand Prix, each lasting 30 minutes, with the top 20 finishers in each heat transferring to the 1 Hour Main event. In between, some of the best and bravest motorcycle racers anywhere will take to the infield road course for some breathtaking 2 wheel action.
For registration information to either the SHGP or the Super Moto events, contact Rob McClendon at 850-637-5838, or Tim Bryant at 850-944-8400.
