MATT HILL RETURNS AND WINS IN CRATE MODELS (UNOFFICIAL)
Defending point champion, Matt Hill spent most of the 2016 season on the road. Hill returned on Saturday night leading flag to flag to take the $2140 win. “We learned a lot traveling this season,� said Hill. “but it is really good to be back home and to win.�
Mike Wharton won an early race battle with Tyler Reed to take second but Hill was exceptionally good on restarts and never was seriously challenged. 2016 points champ, Sparky White ended a great season in third with Reed fourth and rookie Wes Clifton fifth. Heats on Friday night were won by Hill and Michael Wilkins. Results are unofficial until early this week when extensive tech is completed.
