DONALD LINGO, JR LEADS FLAG TO FLAG IN LATE MODEL ELIMINATOR
Donald Lingo, Jr. was very appreciative of the fan who drew the pole starting position for him in the 20-lap S.R. Pete & Sons Super Late Model eliminator. Lingo was fast from the drop of the green while Nick Davis battle by Dylan Evans for second. Amanda Whaley got by Evans on lap four while Joe Warren held down the fifith spot at the end of the first segment.
Whaley and Davis went at it on the restart with Whaley taking second and Evans following into third. The caution would fly first for Herb Tunis and then for Warren on the next attempt. At halfway it was Lingo, Whaley, Davis, Evans and Tunis.
Davis kept up the intensity and regained the second spot while Tunis was able to wrestle the fourth and final transfer spot from Tunis by lap 15. The final five laps were all Lingo who picked up his fourth win of the season. Davis finished a solid second after starting in sixth with Whaley third and Tunis fourth.
