JORDAN JUSTICE PATIENT IN EARNING FOURTH WIN IN AC DELCO SPORTSMAN
Jordn Justice continued his bid for the AC Delco 602 Sportsman championship on Saturday night. Jason Rush looked determined at the start of the 15-lap main surviving four cautions in the first three laps to maintain his lead from his third starting spot.
Herman Powell held the second spot from the start until lap five when Justice, who had started in ninth garnered the position. By the halfway sign the top five were Rush, Justice, Dwayne Crockett, Scott Hitchens and Powell.
Justice stayed on the bumper of Rush until Rush got loose on the bottom of turn three and Justice shot by to take the lead with two laps to go. The race wasn’t over as the caution would fly for a final time with one to go. Justice would make no mistake on the final lap to post his fourth win of the season and to pad his point lead in the division. Crockett got by Rush on the final restart to take second with Rush settling for third. Fourth went to Hitchens and David Jenkins got by Powell to finish in fifth. Heats were won by Rush and Crockett.
