JORDN JUSTICE TAKES HOME THE GOLD ON KYLE DIXON MEMORIAL NIGHT
It was a heartfelt and special night in the AC Delco division as it was the Kyle Dixon Memorial night at the speedway. At the point in the feature it was Ryan Riddle leading the field to the green. The Rookie of the Year contender was able to fend off his veteran foes for the first lap, but Dwayne Crockett overtook Riddle for the lead on lap two. Once out front Crockett would set the pace and drivers could only play chase for the laps to come.
Lap eight the caution flew as Trey Hicks brought out the first caution on the night. That caution tightened up the field and put Crockett’s lead position directly in Jordn Justice’s cross hairs. The flag dropped and for the next 11 laps Crockett and Justice would battle for the lead with Devin Dodson in tow. It was on lap 17 that Justice would make his move and break into the lead after cleanly getting past Crockett. Once in the lead Justice looked to set his sights on the checkered flag, but with one to go the caution once again flew with multiple cars getting together. When the caution flew it tightened up the field for a one-lap dash with the green and white flying at the same time. Justice knew he could not make any mistakes with tough competition right behind him, and no mistakes were made as he found his way to victory lane and was able to dedicate the win to his grandfather who had recently passed. Heat races were won by Justice and Crockett
