The Delmarva Chargers and the Little Lincolns were on hand as support classes for Saturday night with their features being split before and after intermission. The Delmarva Chargers feature went on right before intermission and what an exciting race it would be! Bud Sipple would lead the chargers to the green, and he would have company quick as Kyle Tubbs and Brett Sellers gave him no slack for the first few laps. Cautions would come into play a few laps later and the field would tighten up. Tanner Marvel had started working his way through the field after starting all the way back in the 12th position. By the time the two to go sign was in the air Marvel had put himself in the position to win after getting past Sipple for the lead. The checker flew and Marvel picked up his first win of the season at Delaware International.

The Little Lincolns were the “last but not least contenders of the night as they were the last to take the racing surface on the evening. Starting on the pole was long time racer Landy Adams in his new ride for 2016. Adams quickly set the pace, and started distancing himself from the field. However behind him, drivers were taking the phrase “rubbing is racing to an all new high as Joe Pete, Mel Joseph Jr., Bunky White traded licks as they battled for positions. Pete would almost make head on contact with the outside retaining wall, but with a miraculous save he kept going until his tire gave way in turns one and two. The caution would come out for Pete, and in doing so erasing the lead that Adams had built up. On the restart Adam’s had company from family as Mel Joseph was knocking at his door, but Adam’s was determined to not give up the lead. When the twelfth lap was completed it was Adam’s picking up his first win in over 25 years!
