DAVID SMITH HOLDS OFF HIS BROTHER ROBERT TO WIN SUPER TRUCKS
A strong field of 19 Super Trucks joined the five weekly divisions on opening night. The 12-lap feature got off to a wild start when a tangle off the second turn saw both Billy Cropper and Rocky Whitley get upside down. Neither driver was injured.
Robert Smith led the first five circuits before his brother David took over on lap five. Once out front, David Smith would hold off Robert for the rest of the distance for his second career win at the speedway. Mattie Long finished in third with Noah Vincent fourth and Bobby Reed came from 16th to finish in fifth.
