JIMMY WILLS WINS 7TH AND CHAMPIONSHIP IN MOD LITES

Nick Nash set fast time in the Mod Lite qualifying and started on the pole of the 15-lap feature driving the Brandon Dennis No. 10. Nash took command of the race from the drop of the green and held a narrow advantage over Jimmy Wills in second and Jason Musser in third. Following the trio at the halfway sign was Ray Gulliver and Nick Sapp.

The yellow was out one lap later when Zac Weller flipped coming off the fourth turn. The young driver quickly climbed from the car uninjured. Jason Musser got but Wills on the restart and tucked in on the rear bumper of Nash. Wills regained second two laps later with three to go. With two laps to go, Nash made a bobble in the second turn and slid high leaving the door open for Wills to take the lead. Jason Musser followed into second and stayed glued to the leader but Wills was not to be denied as he posted his seventh win of the season and earned his first track championship in the division.
