WEATHER ONCE AGAIN PLAGUES SATURDAY NIGHT RACING AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL
By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE – Once again storms descended on Delmarva on Friday and Saturday dropping more than 2.5 inches of rain in a 24 hour period and washing out racing at the Delaware International Speedway.
This Saturday night, August 18th will be the rescheduled Tony Steele Memorial Vintage car event along with the NAPA Big Block Modifieds, Super Late Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, Crate Models and Mod Lites. Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m.
Saturday night August 25th it will be the “King of Kings� Shootout for Super Late Model feature winners along with the five weekly divisions and the Little Lincoln vintage cars.
The United Racing Company Sprint Cars will make their final appearance on Saturday night September 1st and will be joined by the five weekly divisions. Check the schedule at www.delawareracing.com for possible changes and additions to these dates.
