JOHN CURTIS GET SEASON'S FIRST IN AC DELCO

It took four attempts to get the first lap of the AC Delco PSC Modified 15-lap feature in the books but

when it finally did, Jordan Watson was on top. Scott Hitchens held the second spot until lap six when

Scott Hitchens moved by on the high side.

 

With Watson and Hitchens running up front, defending point champion John Curtis was slowly moving

up through the ranks on the outside. With five to go, Curtis was running third and two laps later pulled

by Short for second. He continued his charge on the outside and took the lead coming to the white flag.

The final circuit was all Curtis’ as he drove to his first win of the year. Watson finished in second with

Short third. Fourth went to Westley Smith and Hitchens rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying

was set by Jeff Brown.
