James Giossi
Back Home With A Win
After a long Memorial Day weekend, James and crew headed back to their home track, Cedar Lake Speedway. After taking some damage at Huset's Speedway last weekend, Giossi decided to bring back the old car.
James would start front row outside of his heat race. As the green dropped, the 11 car would settle in to his second place starting spot. Throughout the race, it was clear that the car was slightly unstable as James was trying to keep the car underneath him. After battling with the car during the heat race, Giossi would ultimately end up second.
As the short night at Cedar Lake was coming to an end, James and crew went to work to get the car back to where he felt comfortable. The late models rolled on to the track and Giossi would settle to his fourth place starting spot. The green was out, and it was clear, James had his car back. In the early stages of the race, it was a 3 wide battle for the lead. After a handful of laps in, Giossi finally out dueled Pat Door. Grabbing the lead, the white and orange 11 took off and didn't look back. With a couple laps to go, the yellow flag flew. This took away the big lead that Giossi had earned thus far. On the restart, James would take off and he continued to run the middle/bottom of the Cedar Lake Speedway. In the end Giossi edged out the competition to bring home yet another win.
