Brian Brown Excited for Event at Knoxville Raceway Following Trip to Wisconsin

Inside Line Promotions – NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (July 8, 2019) – Brian Brown is heading to his home track this Saturday after a frustrating outing last weekend during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown.
Brown ran into trouble in both of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series main events after hustling toward the top 10.
July 5 – Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. – Qualifying: 14; Heat race: 6 (5); Feature: 21 (17).
“We drew a really, really good number (for qualifying), but couldn’t capitalize on it,” Brown said. “We were just off and that got us behind a bit. We started 17th (in the main event) and were up battling for seventh, eighth, ninth. We developed an oil leak so we didn’t get to finish that one.”
July 6 – Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. – Qualifying: 17; Heat race: 6 (6); Feature: 15 (17).
“The track slowed down quite a bit,” Brown said. “We qualified bad again. With these guys you can’t give up that much ground that early in the night. In the feature we were running 12th on the last lap and blew a right rear tire. We had better cars than we did finishes, but sometimes it goes like that.
“Even though we didn’t have the results we wanted it wasn’t a lost cause. When we can bring in upwards of 250 FVP customers and employees and thank them, that’s an important part to be able to do these events. We couldn’t do the hospitality without the World of Outlaws. It’s a great partnership between us, the Outlaws and FVP.”
UP NEXT – Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa
“Just because you ran good there last time doesn’t mean you’ll knock it out of the park again,” Brown said. “Hopefully we can pick back up where we left off. This weekend they have the feature with the normal weekly show and then the make-up feature from the rainout a couple of weeks ago. We start on the front row.”
