Ross Bailes notches ninth-place finish in Bristol Bash on Saturday

Ross Bailes was back in action at Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday evening as the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series drew 22 competitors for the two-day Bristol Bash. After getting a slow start to the night and suffering a flat left-front tire on the second lap of the feature, Bailes charged from the tail to salvage a 12th-place finish in the 40-lapper. For another $25,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Bailes’ fifth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the seventh row for the finale. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Ross gained five positions in the 50-lap affair to register a ninth-place finish.
