2015 Season Championship

The final night of stock car racing was held on Friday night with a huge amount of cars filling the pits and a good crowd to watch the races. There were 30 UMP Late Models in the pits trying to make the feature and win the $1,500. Heat race winners were Daryn Klein, Bobby Dauderman and Mike Kloos and Mike Schulte. The semi went to Jake Little.

The 25 lap feature started with Klein and Dauderman on the front row. With the start of the race, Klein would take the lead with Dauderman, Kloos, Alan Westling and Greg Kimmons in the chase mode. Klein would hold off the field for about fours when Kloos would take over command. However, that did not last long as Klein would retake the lead. While the racing continued on the track, the lead changing was not over. Kloos would retake the lead and pulled away from the field and into lapped traffic.

The battle for the top was good to watch as Dauderman, Klein and Chad Zobrist put on a show to see who would finish where. Kloos would take the checkered flag followed by Dauderman, Klein, Zobrist and Kimmons to complete the top five.

In the UMP Modified class, there were 25 cars trying to make the feature. Heat race winners were Brian Bielong, Rick Standridge and Zeb Moake. The semi went to Matt Koch. The 20 lap feature started with Bielong and Standridge on the front row. With the green flag waving, Bielong would take the lead and being chased by Paul Bailey, Moake, Brett Korves and Aaron Dreage. This was Bielong’s race to lose, but that did not happen. The battle was for second place. Bielong would not give up the lead during the 20 laps. Bailey making his first trip to Belle Clair Speedway this year held on to a strong second place.

The battle between Bailey, Moake and Brett Korves was worth the price of admission. Bielong would take the victory over Bailey, Moake, Korves and Zach Hoffman. Joe B. Miller won the Mini Sprint feature. Jimmy Cummins won the B-Mod feature.
