Sooner Late Model Series

Glaze wins rained shortened Sooner Late Model feature

John Rittenoure - VAN BUREN, Ark. (September 23, 2023) - Being in the right place at the right time was a winning combination for Little Rock driver Bryan Glaze at Crawford County Speedway.

Rain ended Saturday’s Complete Well Testing Sooner Model Series vs. Titans Legends Late Model feature after just five laps, and Glaze was in the lead when the race was stopped due to a slick track.

Glaze started outside Jason Redman on the front row and jumped into the early lead before a couple of yellows stopped the race on the first lap. Steve Hewitt and Bryce Clark came together and their cars could not be separated. Finally both cars were towed to the infield and the race continued.

Redman tried to challenge Glaze once the race was underway but Glaze continued to lead until rain fell. Redman held on to second followed by Jeremy Petty in third, Steven Crocker followed in fourth and Preston Farmer rounded out the top five.

Sooner Late Model Series
The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Arkansas.
