Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels Announces 2024 Touring Series Drivers

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 3, 2024)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels is pleased to announce the drivers that plan to follow the 20-event tour for 2024 and chase after the $15,000 top prize that will be awarded to the series champion at the conclusion of the 2024 racing season.

The tour will visit four states (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky) and drivers will compete for series points fund money and contingencies, as well as DIRTcar Racing Regional and National points. The 2024 series champion will receive $15,000, while second place receives $7,500, third place will receive $4,000, fourth place receives $3,000, fifth place will receive $2,500, sixth place receives $2,000 while seventh through tenth place finishers in the final point standings will all receive $1,000. Drivers will only be required to take their best 80 percent of races toward the final points. The top-ten in points will be paid at the season-ending banquet. Prize money and points funds for the season are in excess of $500,000.

The following (13) drivers has given intentions of competing for the 2024 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels championship: Shane Bailey, Rod Conley, Seth Daniels, Billy Green, Gregg Haskell, Austin Lay, Jesse Lay, Ryan Missler, Chris Nash, Rusty Schlenk, Devin Shiels, Colin Shipley, and Justin White.

Shane Bailey- Shane Bailey resides in Grayson, KY and has ten seasons of racing under his belt. The 37-year-old has ten career feature victories and has one track championship to his credit. Bailey will drive the Shane Bailey Racing owned #1 Swartz Race Car by SBR powered by a Power Tech Race Engine. Bailey’s entry receives sponsorship from Whitley Hill Bailey Attorney at Law, Walker Ferguson Refining Services, Matt Fyffe Insurance, Guns, Gold, and Cash Pawn Shop, Slicker Graphics, T and T Outdoors, Octane Race Products, The Ratcliff Family, and VP Racing Fuels.

Rod Conley- Rod Conley lives in Wheelersburg, OH and has been racing for thirty-one years. The 62-year-old second-generation racer has several feature wins and has won multiple track championships (Portsmouth Raceway Park-2013; Atomic Speedway-2015, 2016, 2022). Some of Conley’s major victories include the Hillbilly 100, Mountain Momma 100, Cornett Clash, and Southern 100. Conley drives the Conley Motorsports owned #71R Rocket Chassis, Draime Race Engines powered entry. Conley’s machine carries sponsorship from Conley Trucking, After Burner Performance, and Poske’s Performance Parts.

Seth Daniels- Seth Daniels is a native of Jackson, OH and has been racing for eight years. The 24-year-old Daniels comes to Super Late Model racing from the Open Wheel Modified ranks, having been a former winner of the Open Wheel Modified portion of the Dirt Track World Championship. Daniels pilots the Jason Wilson owned #s21 Rocket Chassis powered by a SPEC Race Engine. Daniels entry will sport sponsorship from Wilson Excavating, FOX Shocks, Tim Haddle Trucking, A&A Truck Stop, S&D Transport, Montgomery Motorsports, Dole’s Automotive, and Red’s Rollen Garage.

Billy Green- Billy Green is third-generation racer and a resident of Walton, KY. Green is the youngest driver to ever win a Super Late Model feature at Florence (KY) Speedway, as he was fourteen years old when he took his first win back in 2018. Green, who is 20 years old now, has been racing for twelve years, starting in quarter midgets at the age of nine. A former two-time Gator Nationals winner in Open Wheel Modifieds, Green is a former Crate Late Model track champion at Florence (KY) Speedway in 2017 and was the track Super Late Model rookie of the year in the same season. Green will be wheeling the Green Family Racing owned #49 Longhorn Chassis powered by a Clements Racing Engine. Green’s entry will be sponsored by Beef O’ Brady’s, Veterans Logistics, Joe Lay and Son Plumbing, and Complete Towing.

Gregg Haskell- Gregg Haskell lives in Chatham, Ontario, Canada and has been racing for eighteen years. Haskell, 45-years-old, has many feature wins in his career and is a four-time Rick Haskell Memorial winner and is a former track champion at South Buxton (ON) Raceway. Haskell drives the Garry and Sherry Lomesarier owned #03 Rocket Chassis powered by a Cornett Race Engine. Haskell’s mount receives sponsorship from Haulin’ Haskell's, L&M Racing, Tye Twarog Racing, Afterburner Performance, Performance Fiberglass and Marine, The Alley Pub and Grill, Valvoline Express Care, and Tru Form Race Products.

Austin Lay- Austin Lay is a second-generation racer from Walton, KY. A former basketball standout and current assistant basketball coach at Walton-Verona High School, Lay enters his third full season of Super Late Model racing and is a two-time championship runner-up in Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series points (2022, 2023). The 24-year-old Lay drives the Outlaw Racing LLC owned #33AJ MB Customs/Mars Race Car powered by Dargie Race Engine. Austin’s entry carries sponsorship from Joe Lay and Sons Plumbing, Florence Winnelson, J Palmer Construction, Webb's Excavation, Poske's Performance, Marshall Auto Group, Vertex Pipe Insulation, Delph Communications, Blue Beacon Truck Wash, Arizona Sport Shirts, Northeastern Fabrication, and Slicker Graphics.

Jesse Lay- Jesse Lay calls Walton, KY home and is a 35-year racing veteran. Lay is a former three-time track champion at Florence (KY) Speedway, a former three-time on the Battle of the Bluegrass Series, and finished sixth in the inaugural Dream 100 back in 1994. The 53-year-old Lay drives the Outlaw Racing LLC owned #33 MB Customs/Mars Race Car powered by a Dargie Race Engine. Jesse Lay’s machine sports sponsorship from Joe Lay and Sons Plumbing, Florence Winnelson, J Palmer Construction, Webb's Excavation, Poske's Performance, Marshall Auto Group, Vertex Pipe Insulation, Delph Communications, Blue Beacon Truck Wash, Arizona Sport Shirts, Northeastern Fabrication, and Slicker Graphics. Jesse will also be helping his son, Austin Lay, and plans to compete at most of the events.

Ryan Missler- Ryan Missler is a resident of Bellevue, OH. Missler is 40 years old and has been racing for 20 years. Missler is a five-time track champion at Attica (OH) Raceway Park and also has an Ethanol Series victory. Missler will pilot the Ryan Missler Racing #50 Rocket Chassis powered by a Clements Racing Engine. Chris Nash- Chris Nash resides in Vicksburg, MI and is a veteran racer with twenty-eight seasons of competition behind him. The 52-year-old Nash drives the Chris Nash Racing owned #354 Domination Race Car and Swartz Race Car, with both powered by a Custom Race Engine. Nash carries sponsorship on his race cars from Octane Custom Trailers, Chris Nash Racing, Pit Performance Products, and Octane Energy Drinks.

Rusty Schlenk- Rusty Schlenk is a thirty-one-year racing veteran that calls McClure, OH home. The 37-year-old Schlenk is a former four-time American Late Model Series champion (2006, 2008, 2016, 2019) and a former DIRTcar Late Model national champion (2010), with his biggest career win coming in the $33,000 to win Wood Tic Dan Salay Memorial at Merritt (MI) Speedway in 2021. Colin Shipley- Colin Shipley is a resident of Bowling Green, OH. Shipley is 18 years old and has been racing for seven seasons. Shipley is the current track record holder at Winston (MI) Speedway and has been the track championship runner-up at Oakshade (OH) Raceway and has one career Super Late Model victory. Shipley will be driving the Jeff Nulton owned #46 Domination Race Car powered by a Stephens and Hull Race Engine. Justin White- Justin White is a second-generation racer from Stevensville, MI that has four years of Super Late Model racing under his belt, but has been racing for fourteen years total. The 17-year-old White finished sixth in 2023 MARS Late Model Series points and was third in the 2023 MARS Rookie of the Year final points. White will drive the Chad White owned #20W Pierce Race Car by Big Daddy powered by a Rhyne Competition Race Engine.
