Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Announces Busy 2025 Slate of Events

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (December 10, 2024)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man (DIRTcar-sanctioned) Series fueled by VP have announced the 2025 schedule of events. The tour is made up of thirty-two events across four states visiting nineteen different race tracks. Purses, points fund monies & contingency awards are in excess of $1,000,000 for the season. The schedule also boasts eight events that are five-figure paydays and thirteen events will be broadcast LIVE on different streaming services. Drivers also have the opportunity to collect DIRTcar Regional & National points & money at the season’s end.

The 2025 Champion will receive a record-paying $20,000 with the top-ten receiving points fund money at the end of the season. The defending series champion is Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio, who is expected to follow the tour again in 2025. Series officials have also announced that Valvoline Global Operations will return as title sponsor for the fifth-straight season. Also, VP Racing Fuels will be coming back on board for the second-straight season as the presenting sponsor of the tour.

It has also been announced that the “Valvoline Weekly Allstars” Program will feature eleven touring events that will have its own separate points fund allowing “weekend warriors” to race for some extra cash all while accumulating points for the overall tour championship. This allows one driver a chance at a “series title” within the series for 2025. The mini-tour champion will pay $5,000. “It’s hard from some drivers to run a 30-race schedule and we wanted to give them the opportunity to be a champion and still be part of the tour. We hand-picked some weekends where drivers would earn points for both while making extra cash, a chance at a title and some extra recognition,” stated Series co-owner Chris Tilley. If a driver were to win both titles, the 2025 championship could be worth $25,000 in addition to extra DIRTcar Regional & National points funds.

Season highlights include two visits to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Saturday April 19 for the track’s 72nd Annual Season Opener paying $5,000-to-win. The 17th Annual Baltes Classic on Sunday August 31 will feature twin $5,000-to-win features for the Valvoline Late Models, the penultimate event leading up to the 55th Annual World 100 the following weekend for DIRTcar Late Models. In addition, the tour will conclude the season on Friday and Saturday October 25-26 at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio for the “Night the Stars Come Out” weekend paying $5,000-to-win on Friday and $15,000-to-win on Saturday. The tour will co-sanction two events with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on April 4 & 5 at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio paying $12,000-to-win and $15,000-to-win respectively.

The tour features eight new race tracks on the 2025 schedule including 191 Speedway in Campton, 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky., Fremont (Ohio) Speedway, Hidden Hollow Speedway in Colson, Ky., Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio, Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio, Montpelier (Ind.) Speedway & Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Ky. This will mark the first time since May 11, 2007 that Super Late Models have raced at Limaland. Duane Chamberlain took home the American Late Model Series (ALMS) victory at Limaland seventeen years ago.

The tour will co-sanction two events with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. on Saturday July 5 and Saturday July 12 at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio. The Valvoline Late Models will also again co-sanction five events with the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series on Friday August 1 at Hidden Hollow Speedway in Colson, Ky. & 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky. on Saturday August 2, each paying $5,000-to-win. Saturday August 16th at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway for the 38th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial paying $12,059-to-win, Saturday August 23 at Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Ky. for the Mountain Heritage Classic paying $12,000-to-win and then finally September 13 at 191 Speedway in Campton, Ky. paying $7,500-to-win. The 2025 Championship Banquet for the American Late Model Iron-Man Series will be held on Sunday afternoon October 26th the day immediately following the season finale with more details to be announced.
