Bresnahan Best of Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified Field on Power Seal Night

FULTON, NY (August 18, 2024) - Palermo, NY's Roy Bresnahan captured his first Fulton Speedway win since 2011 taking home the victory in the 35-lap Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified feature Saturday Night on Power Seal Driveway Sealing night. Bresnahan held off a determined Jason Parkhurst to claim his second career Fulton modified triumph.

In companion action Saturday, Hunter Hollenbeck earned his first career Fulton Speedway Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman win in the regular sportsman feature. Zach Sobotka captured the Industrial Tire of CNY Sportsman Shootout Qualifier held over from June 22. Brett Sears took home a lucrative $1277 win in the Power Seal/Tarvia Seal/DnD Line Striping/Bridgeland Auto Brokers/RVMD Service, Repair and Parts Sportsman Challenge. Brian Harber captured the E & V Energy Novice Sportsman main while John Pietrowicz took home the win in Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stock action.

By virtue of his pole position starting spot, Bresnahan was able to lead every lap in the Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified feature but it was the battle between he and Parkhurst that was the show.

Parkhurst advanced to second from his 5th place starting spot on lap 3 and raced in Bresnahan's tire tracks throughout the 35-lap grind. Both found the low groove to their liking and stayed there.

Parkhurst pressured Bresnahan throughout the run, staying on his bumper but never making contact as he tried to find a way under the veteran. Bresnahan was up to the task, however, as he drove a nearly flawless race to take the win.

Parkhurst took home a solid second, his best run of the season earning a spot in next week's 'Tow Truck Brian's Bridesmaid's Dash'. Dave Marcucilli got his family-owned #M1 rolling over the second half of the feature event and charged from the 13th starting spot to complete the podium. Seventh starter Corey Barker made his primary sponsor, Power Seal, proud with a strong fourth place run just ahead of Sean Beardsley who drove his Neivel Precision Plumbing #18$ to a solid fifth place run.

In the regularly scheduled Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman main, Hunter Hollenbeck was the class of the field. Despite starting on the pole, the 2nd year Sportsman chauffeur was able to drive away from his nearest challengers throughout the event to take the popular win. Brett Sears came from the 7th starting spt to take the runner-up spot with Jason Parkhurst Jr., Cody manitta and Kyle Devendorf rounding out the top-5.

Twice delayed by rain, the June 22 Industrial Tire of CNY Sportsman Shootout Qualifier was finally able to be run. Past Outlaw Weekend winner Zach Sobotka earned the guaranteed starting spot with the win in the 25-lap main. Sobotka raced to a comfortable win ahead of Devendorf, Emmett Waldron, Mike Fowler and Dave Moyer.

Brett Sears earned the biggest win in his young career in the special $1277 to win Power Seal/Tarvia Seal/DnD Line Striping/Bridgeland Auto Brokers/RVMD Service, Repair and Parts Sportsman Challenge. The special format race was held by invitation to 12 drivers and boasted a purse of over $4900. Sears edged Mike Fowler who earned $677 for his runner-up finish. Tony Finch II came from the seventh starting spot to earn a $477 third place payday with Tyler Corcoran and Waldron rounding out the top-5.

Point leader John Pietrowicz inched closer to clinching his second straight track championship with his fourth Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stock feature win of the year. Ron Hawker had a solid runner-up finish ahead of Brennan Fitzgibbons who came home third. Russ Marsden and Buck Mills, Jr. rounded out the top-5.

Brian Harber captured his second E & V Energy Novice Sportsman feature of the year. After starting seventh, Harber got by Sam Groom for the lead on lap 12 and went on for the win. Kingston Sprague, Cale Gareau, Groom and Ryan Halliday rounded out the top-5.
