Hitting the circuit of seventeen feature starts Mario “Speedwagon” Clouser would notch a series-leading six victories on the season with eleven top-five performances, fifteen finishes by-way-of top-ten runs. Gaining six top times in hot laps, nine heat race victories, four high-point qualifier awards, and a pair of hard charger accolades on the season within POWRi WAR.

Driving the familiar Mario Clouser Racing, Yokohama Tires, Clouser Auto Repair, NAPA of Auburn, Jason Keefer, Diversified Machine, K1 RaceGear, Bell Racing, Competition Suspension, Engler Machine and Tool, Schoenfeld Headers, Hoosier Racing Tire, DRC Chassis, Claxton 410, from Auburn, Illinois, Mario would personally thank “My family easily sacrificed the most though.

Kaitlin is left at home each weekend along with countless nights to take care of the house, kids, bills, yard, you name it she does it. My parents (Paul and Gina) let me miss about every Friday and Saturday of the entire spring/summer seasons at work so I can go racing along with my dad helping in the shop a lot of nights. Without them in my corner I wouldn’t be racing at all.”

6 Feature Wins: Lake Ozark Speedway (4/3 & 8/21) | Charleston Speedway (5/21 & 6/11) | Spoon River Speedway (6/12) | Missouri State Fair Speedway (7/29).
6 Top Times: Lake Ozark Speedway (4/3, 7/23, & 8/21) | Lucas Oil Speedway (4/24) | I-70 Motorsports Park (5/1) | Charleston Speedway (6/11).
9 Heat Race Wins: Lake Ozark Speedway (4/3) | Lucas Oil Speedway (4/24 & 9/16) | Valley Speedway (4/25 & 7/17) | I-70 (5/1) | Charleston Speedway (5/21 & 6/11) | Spoon River Speedway (6/12).

Clouser would add, “Brian Cripe has been a great crew chief this season, allowing me to worry less about the car at the track and more about driving helps more than I can explain. We’ve been all over the board on setups but work really well together and are constantly learning, which is one of my favorite things about this sport.”

“It takes major commitment to follow an entire series and to not falter, add in work and family and you’ll have yourself a hectic summer (believe me). Chuck Eberhardt and Fred Zirzow, we’re the driving force for me to get it done this year. Without their added support I’d never have been able to run as well as we did and have enough equipment to follow the entire season. Sadly, Chuck passed away before he could see us finish it off so, Chucky, this one is definitely for you” added Clouser to cap off his winning season.
