Chase Fischer Keeps Winning Momentum with POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints

Belleville, IL. (9/19/2021) Back in the tight-corners and long straits of their home-facility of I-35 Speedway, the Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprints would find Chase Fischer flying into the lead late in the feature event to earn his seventh series win of the season epically.

Early racing action would find Bobby Layne gaining the advantage to earn the heat victory with Jeff Bard and Tony Layne earning a front-row grid for the feature event after an intermission red-draw.

Battling feature racing would find Tony Layne out front early with Jeff Bard in hot pursuit. The leading Layne would defend valiantly to no avail as Bard found momentum around the mid-race point, appearing to be the driver to beat for the feature event.

With the white flag waving, fifth-starting Chase Fischer would strike for the lead in his hard-charging effort to the front and hold off the last-corner, last-ditch, push of both Bard and Tony Layne. Notching his tenth career POWRi feature win, Chase Fischer extends his over series points lead heading into the final race of the season for the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints.

Early leader Tony Layne would race his way to finishing runner-up with Jeff Bard placing third. Heat race winner Bobby Layne would pass a pair of drivers to finish fourth as Trice Rowden would route his way past three other competitors rounding out the Lucas Oil POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints top-five finishers at I-35 Speedway.
