Jake Swanson Wins at Jacksonville Speedway with POWRi WAR/Xtreme Sprints

Belleville, IL. (9/9/22) Jake Swanson would strike in the latter stages of the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League feature event at Jacksonville Speedway, running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Sprint Series presented by Low-E Insulation, to notch his second career league feature victory.

Early on track accomplishments with twenty-seven entries would witness Mario Clouser clock fast-time in group qualifying with an 11.605-second-lap as Alex Bright, Robert Ballou, and Anton Hernandez all each notched heat racing victories as Mitchell Davis would earn the semi-feature win with Anton Hernandez gaining the high point qualifier award after the preliminary competition.

Redrawing six during intermission to shuffle the front of the grid would find Brandon Mattox combat front-row companion Alex Bright into the first pair of corners with Bright gaining the early race lead as Robert Ballou, Jake Swanson, Mario Clouser, and Anton Hernandez all battled inside the first three rows of competition in close contention for the front.

Grabbing the preferred position in front after a late-race restart would witness Jake Swanson precisely maneuver around the leading Bright with a hungry pack of traditional sprinters trying to keep a quick pace with the front-runners.

Keeping the field of talented WAR/Xtreme drivers behind, Jake Swanson would emerge victorious for the second time in 2022 as one-time leader Alex Bright would finish in a close runner-up positioning with seventh-starting CJ Leary clinching the final podium placement in the event.

Maintaining a solid showing all night, Anton Hernandez would finish fourth as Kevin Thomas Jr rounded out the top-five finishers from starting ninth in the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League, running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Sprint Series presented by Low-E Insulation, feature event at Jacksonville Speedway Friday Night.
