Caho Wins Inaugural Proctor TSCS Sprint Show

Caho Conquers Inaugural Proctor TSCS Sprint Show
Proctor, MN (8-25-13)

After getting fogged-out in their initial attempt to race at the Proctor Speedway back on July 7, the non-winged UMSS Traditional Sprint Car Series made their debut at the popular Twin Ports track on Sunday night August 25 in a makeup show along with their winged counterparts. Although the car count was not as strong as it would have been back in July, the TSCS sprints put on a very good show with an entertaining feature race on the well-prepared racing surface. When the final checkers flew, Rob Caho, Jr. picked up his sixth win of the 2013 season and put an exclamation mark on his 2013 Championship title.

Caho went to his patented top side a couple laps into the 20 lap Traditional Sprint Car Series feature race at the Proctor Speedway, swapped the lead on a couple of occasions with Johnny Parsons III, and eventually took command on lap 12 en route to his series leading sixth win of the season. The 2012 & 2013 TSCS Champion defeated Parsons, 2013 Rookie of the Year Mike Mueller, Lucas Milz and "Hurricane Katrina" Sautbine. The Traditional sprints opened some eyes at Proctor on how competitive this division is in just its third season. Hopefully the TSCS sprints can return to Proctor next season with a stop the night before at Hibbing. The division continues to grow in car count and the fans who see this class in action generally come away with a new appreciation of the division.
