Fonda Speedway Kicks off Kennedy's "Northway-90 Challange" and a Dash Sponsored by Hannah Reels

It's finally here! The first race of the 2015 CRSA racing season starts on Saturday, April 25th, at the Fonda Speedway in Fonda, NY.

The Kennedy's Towing "Northway-90 Challenge" series points will begin as well as the season long CRSA Sprint Car Tour points battle, which will see John Matrafailo try to defend the title he has held for the past two consecutive years. Schaeffer Racing Oil has come on board to sponsor the heat races and Hannay Reels is sponsoring a 4-lap Shootout dash for the six qualified cars who had missed the redraw. The Magsarus Hard Charger Award is back again this season as well and will be presented at every event.

This will also be the first EVER sprint car race for a number of racers in the CRSA Tour and the race for the Rookie of the Year is the largest in years.
Tyler Jashemboski got some seat time last year and will make his bid for top rookie status.
Jeremiah Munson left the sportsman ranks at Albany-Saratoga and Fonda and is ready for his sprint car debut.
Joshua Flint has a sprinter, and after a tour in Iraq and a year off from racing mods, has his ride ready for the weekend.
Another driver making a move from the sportsman/modified ranks is Middletown driver,Christian Rumsey, he is also planning on making Fonda his debut.
Chad Miller, another sportsman driver from the Capital District area, is looking forward to making his transition to the winged sprints.
Brody Adamsky will be driving the Emily VanInwegen back up car this season and is making his move up from the micro sprint ranks. His debut is set for OCFS next week.
These are just the pre-registered newbies and we have heard rumors of others...

The 10th Anniversary season of the CRSA looks to be an exciting one...with some new drivers, many veteran drivers looking to grab a championship, a Panther Frameworx sprint car frame raffle, three mini-series points championships, a few new sponsors on board and "damn good" sprint car racing,

  • Pit gates open at 4:00pm

  • Transponders are Mandatory for scoring

  • Raceceivers are mandatory for drivers and also for ATV operators as well as helmets

  • CRSA Stamped RR tire rule is in effect ( tires will be available at the track)

  • All engines must be teched and sealed prior to race day. No engines will be teched at the racetrack!

There will be a limited amount of fuel available at the track

……………See ya there!
