Clauson Claims Sokola Classic Victory

PERRIS, Cal. (March 5, 2016) - Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. completed a “sweep” of USAC Sprint car victories Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway, winning the “Sokola Classic” USAC/CRA AMSOIL series debut at the half-mile dirt oval. Wheeling the Mike Martin owned Cancer Treatment Centers of America/Jonathan Byrd’s Racing machine, Clauson passed Richard Vander Weerd on lap 13 and proceeded to lead the final 18 laps to beat Vander Weerd, Brody Roa, Josh Hodges and Mike Spencer. The victory was Clauson’s sixth in USAC competition this season and places him atop the USAC/CRA standings entering the April 16 race at Perris.
