MAX FRANK WINS AT THE SHORT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP

Crystal, MI (Saturday, September 16, 2023) -Great Lakes Traditional Sprints presented by PErfit Engine Pro (GLTS) had their final short track race of the season at Crystal Motor Speedway. What a great night it was out on the track, GLTS really knows how to put on a fantastic show! We had an incredible field of 29 cars!! The night was packed with a thrilling event of high speed racing and an amazing turnout in the stands. To start this right, we would like to say thank you to all the drivers, fans, sponsors, and staff members who came out to the race and supported us.

Max Frank from Williamston, MI drew position number 6th position in the redraw. Steve Irwin from Fenton, MI was able to jump right out from 5th, and take over the field the whole race. Withing the last 10 laps it was a battle between Irwin and Frank. It came down to the last lap where Frank was able to put his pedal to the floor and win at the drop of the flag!!

Steve Little from Waynesfield, OH charged a total of 10 positions from 18th to 8th making him tonight's Hosier Racing Tire Hard Charger!! Steve Irwin also won the MPD Racing Fast Qualifier with a fast lap of 14.387 seconds. Second fastest was Dustin Daggett from Grand Ledge, MI with a time of 14.412 seconds and third was Jason Ferguson from Fremont, MI with a time of 14.679 seconds.

Steve Irwin takes home the Engler Machine and Tool Heat Race 1. Dustin Daggett wins the Beacon & Bridge Market Heat Race 2!! Mike Astrauskas from Pierson, MI wins the Specialty Fuels and Logistics Heat Race 3, and Jay Steinebach from Hudsonville, MI wins the Rocket Headers Heat Race 4.
