Successful Indiana Swing in the Books for Goldesberry; IRA Doubleheader on Tap

“Four completely new tracks were a challenge for us, but definitely a fun one in front of a bunch of new fans.” Jordan Goldesberry stated of the four-night Maverick Mayhem week in Indiana.

A strong start to the week included a fantastic 6th to 3rd heat race run to transfer into the A Main on opening night at Lincoln Park for the 2022 IRA Champion, as well as transferring out of the B Feature and into the $6,000 to win A Main at Bloomington on Friday night. Car counts were high all week long, with 55 on opening night, 47 Friday, 51 on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway and 37 at the big half-mile at the Terre Haute Action Track on Sunday night.

“Stacked fields every night and smaller amounts of transfer spots in heat races made it super tough to make shows all week long, but making both of the first nights and coming really close on Saturday and Sunday was definitely a solid end result for us.” The Springfield, IL native said of the deep and talented fields during the mini “speed week.” “We really felt fast all week long minus Sunday night at Terre Haute. Just missed it from the start there but definitely feel good about our overall showing.”

Looking ahead, Goldesberry will contest a doubleheader weekend with the IRA Sprints at Outagamie Speedway and Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin.

“We’ve had some strong runs at both tracks in recent years.” Goldesberry said of the 2-race swing before the 4th of July break. “Really hoping the weather cooperates and we can get back to Outagamie after raining out there last year.”

Friday at Outagamie Speedway will take place during the Outagamie County Fair in Seymour, WI for an extremely family friendly night of racing. On Saturday the tour heads back to south-central Wisconsin and the Beaver Dam Raceway for the IRA’s second visit to the high-banked oval in the 2024 season. Goldesberry picked up a 7th place run at “Little Beaver” during the season opener on April 20th.

Tickets for this weekend’s events will be available at the track on race day, and as always, the entire night will be broadcast LIVE on FloRacing.
