GM Performance added as WISSOTA sponsor
WISSOTA PROMOTERS ASSOCIATION is very pleased and proud to announce that CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE has joined their group as a “Gold Level” sponsor.
“CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE is a major player through-out the entire racing industry in every division in every region of our country and we are very excited to be a part of that,” says Terry Voeltz, Executive Director of WISSOTA.
“Bill Martens (Special Programs Manager of Chevrolet Performance Parts) and I have been discussing possible programs for several years now and the time and situation is finally right for both of us to be able to put a program together,” continued Voeltz.
This program is designed around the CT525 GM engine currently allowed in the WISSOTA Late Model division. The program will include added incentives along with adjustments to rules that have been made for drivers/cars using the CT525 engine option. Details of the incentives and a reminder of the rules adjustments will be forthcoming and drivers are encouraged to review the same on the WISSOTA web site: www.wissota.org
Bill Martens of Chevrolet Performance parts had this to say about the new sponsorship with WISSOTA: ”The timing all came together this year for Chevrolet Performance to offer WISSOTA racers a race engine program that provides real power at a very competitive price. The CT525 engine is based on our popular LS3 GEN IV engine, with upgrades taking it to 533 hp. This proven package will allow the Late Model drivers to race with the confidence of Chevrolet Performance power and durability, while keeping costs comparatively low. Our ultimate goal is to help the class grow and prosper for the foreseeable future. Chevrolet Performance is committed to help short track racing for the long haul.”
“We are very happy with our new found relationship with Chevrolet Performance and are looking forward to working with Bill and his staff in the years to come. Welcome to our family of GREAT supporters of WISSOTA,” concluded Voeltz.
