WAR Powri Bill Lawson Memorial Valley Points Race
The Annual “Bill Lawson Memorial“ at Valley Speedway! Bill Lawson, Open Wheel Driver during the 50's & 60's was the Father of Dan Lawson and Grandfather of Justin Lawson. He served in the Marines during WWII and in the Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic during the Korean War. He competed alongside all of our Local & Regional Sprint Car & Midget legends but Lawson had an outstanding fan following & talent in midgets which was the premiere class in Dirt Track Racing of his era! You can even find Bill Lawson featured in Open Wheel Historian & Author, Ray Cunningham's book series on our local heroes called “Legends From The Past"! The Lawson Memorial is a Tribute to Bill Lawson & his family's Open Wheel legacy and we are proud to hold it at Valley Speedway! Early start schedule Pits open at 4, Fan gates at 6, Drivers meeting at 6, hot laps at 6:30 Racing at 7. Adults $20 Military, Student senior $18 KIds 6 to 12 $6, 5 and under free Pit passes $40
