McCowan records pair of Top-10 finishes with MLRA over three races in Hawkeye State
For a three-race swing in the Hawkeye State, Dillon McCowan followed the Lucas Oil Midwest Racing Association to Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon to kick off the weekend.
Laying down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group, McCowan picked up a heat race victory and finished just outside the Top-5 in the $5,000-to-win feature.
Spending the following two nights at Davenport (Iowa) Speedway, McCowan joined a stacked 35-car field for the first night of the Corn State Nationals.
Finishing inside the Top-10 on Friday with a seventh-place outing, Dillon dealt with mechanical issues in Saturday's $10,000-to-win finale and placed 24th in the feature.
McCowan is currently fourth in the series point standings.
