Dillon McCowan Competes in CCSDS Weekend Doubleheader

Dillon McCowan competed in a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model events over the weekend in Oklahoma and Missouri.

McCowan went into battle against a field of 40 entries on Friday night at Arrowhead Speedway (Colcord, Okla.) Dillon finished fourth in his heat race to earn the 13th-starting spot for the feature. In the 35-lap $5,000-to-win finale, he crossed the finish line in 13th.

Action transitioned to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Saturday night for the $5,000-to-win March Madness. After qualifying third fastest he won his heat race to lock into the second-starting spot for the feature.

He ran in the Top 5 until lap 8 when a flat tire forced him pitside. He rejoined the tail of the field before ultimately retiring on lap 25 to an 18th-place finish.
