McCowan Continues Speedweeks '24

Forty Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) racers entered the $10,000-to-win program at the uniquely-shaped, 3/8-mile oval.

While heat race and b-main action left Dillon short of earning a starting spot in the main event, he was able to utilize a series' provisional to start 25th. He went on to notch a 24th-place run.

On Wednesday evening a flat tire sidelined McCowan early. Starting 12th in a B-main, he advanced to an eighth-place finish but with only the Top-3 finishers moving onto the feature, his outing came to an end.

Action moved to All-Tech Raceway (Ellisvlle, Fla.) on Friday night with the first leg of a doubleheader at the 1/2-mile oval. With 49 entries on hand Dillon missed the night's main event with a fifth-place finish in his heat race and a 10th-place run in his B-Main.

Saturday evening found Dillon enjoying his best outing thus far into Speedweeks 2024. After qualifying 12th fastest in the 47-car field, McCowan advanced into the feature with a second-place finish in his B-Main. Starting 19th for the $15,000-to-win finale, he retired early to a 28th-place finish.
