Driver Information

When I was a young boy I used to watch Winston Cup on Wide World of Sports. Our neighbor was into racing and he would take us to Wall Stadium in NJ. I got hooked watching the modified's there. My family moved to Florida in 1973. I started racing in 1975 in Naples Florida. A small 1/4 mile asphalt track. Races there till I moved to Mississippi in 1979. There I was working at a used car lot with a small repair facility. One of our customers was talking to me and found out I used to drive a race car. He told me he knew someone who was looking for a driver. He introduced us and we talked, I found out it was on a dirt track, it was called a B-car (limited sprint). He gave me a chance and we raced at West Memphis until I moved to Little Rock in 1984. We pitted next to Sammy Swindel and his dad used to help us with our car. When I was in Little Rock my service manager knew someone who needed help so we were introduced. We became friends and I was his crew chief on his hobby car until he bought a limited late model. In 1988 I moved back to Florida. My neighbor had an asphalt late model, I joined his team as his engine man. We raced at Punta Gorda and Lakeland Speedway's until I moved back to Mississippi in 1991. There I raised my family. Got divorced in 2002. In 2005 I moved to Rogers Arkansas where my brother and I opened our own repair shop. In 2015 I bought a used USRA Dirtworks Modified. We went through the car and was able to race it in 2017 at Flintcreek Speedway. Wound up running 4th in points for the year. Sold that car and bought a BMS car. WE spent the 2018 season rebuilding the car and my program. Built two new motors, wheels, tires, trailer. Started racing again 4-20-19 at Crawford County Speedway, had a few small problems but nothing major. We will get it back together and race this season. I'm currently 62 years old and having a great time back in the seat.
